Dear Guy,

As is now customary, the CINP and IPP will be hosting a joint session on the
first morning of the CAP Congress. This year that will be at the University of
Alberta on Monday, June 15. We are inviting you to make a presentation on news
from CFI with a specific focus on CFI engagement with the subatomic physics
community. In particular, it would be valuable to the community to hear of:
CFI’s support for international projects and recent funding decisions related
to subatomic physics including a discussion of the CFI process for making
funding decisions; CFI’s use of the Subatomic Physics Long Range Plan and CFI’s
engagement in the community’s upcoming Long Range Planning process; status of
the recent Compute Canada calls for proposals and CFI’s role; developments with
the MSI programme; and news on future competitions. We have allocated a 20’
time slot for CFI, which is to include time for questions and
discussion. Please let us know if you'll be able to attend and give a
presentation.

For your information, the joint session schedule is planned as follows:

can be made available to the participants during the session.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Edmonton,

Michael and Garth
